Zandi secures a point for Olympiakos

Zandi, who had already assisted his team's lone goal in a 1-3 defeat last week, scored the 1-1 equalizer against Enosis Paralimni with a powerful shot after 33 minutes. It was the leftfooter's first goal for his new club in his third appearance.

Shortly later Enosis restored the lead, but just three minutes later another shot from the Iranian midfielder was deflected into goal by his teammate Rodriguez.

Olympiakos Nicosia, however, remain on bottom of the standings.

Team Melli skipper Mehdi Mahdavikia, who had picked up an injury during the preperations for the second halfseason, remained on the bench for 75 minutes and saw newly signed Czech youngster Martin Fenin scoring a brace to give Eintracht Frankfurt a 2-0 lead.

Mahdavikia then showed a pleasing performance in the 15 minutes on the field, being involved in some dangerous attacks, also in the one leading to the 3-0.

The rightwinger inscened striker Amanatidis in the box, who forwarded the ball to Fenin and the young forward completed his hattrick in the final minute of the match.

Also on Saturday Vahid Hashemian didn't even make it into Hannover 96's 18-man-roster as Hannover held Hamburg to a 1-1 draw.

Rahman Rezaei suffered the same fate as Livorno suffered a 0-1 defeat to Palermo, however, the Livorno defender, who had offers from Torino, Parma and a Greek during the winter transfer seasons but finally stayed with Livorno, hadn't recovered from an injury in time.

Andranik Teymourian also was not included in the 16-man-roster for Bolton's clash with Reading. Bolton won the match 2-0.

Already on Friday Amir Shapourzadeh had to watch his team from the stands as well. Hansa Rostock unsurprisingly were defeated 1-2 by Bayern Munich.

Mahdavikia and Teymourian will play for Iran against Syria on Wednesday, the other legionairs have not been invited, only Vahid Hashemian and veteran defender Rahman Rezaei had asked to be left out of Team Melli currently.
